Under the Tuscan Sun
Benvenuto! Join Joanie Fisler and Alison Ritrovato with a cozy group as we nourish and refresh our souls exploring Italy.
April 10-19, 2020
Our Tuscan Villa
Situated at an organic farm in Tuscany, we will stay in the farmhouse pictured here. With this as our base, our guide will escort us in private vans to wineries, cheese farms, a cooking class, an olive oil mill and cultural treasures in Florence and the Tuscan region.Along the way, Alison and Joanie will suggest time to pause and drink in the beauty of the Italian culture.
Farm to Table
This agriturismo villa where we will stay is an all-organic farm, producing most of their own fruits and vegetables which they use in their kitchen and restaurant. The farm grows everything from artichokes to asparagus and fennel, to a wide variety of berries, and fruits such as apples and pears. These items will appear in the meals we are served every evening - along with some delicious local wines! The cuisine is absolutely delicious.
Relax and Savor
the rich food, wine, history, architecture and art that abounds in Tuscany. Travel with intention to explore, learn and experience the off beat villages as well as the main attractions.
Room with a view
All rooms have a private bathroom and are decorated in the classic Tuscan style. In the main building, there is a dining room where the group will take their meals, and a large gathering room for sitting and reading, or relaxing. The facility has lush grounds and features a pool, but it may not yet be open in April. There is also a large outbuilding with lots of large windows and natural light, where we will enjoy our yoga and mindfulness sessions.
Long time friends and soul sisters, Joanie Fisler and Alison Ritrovato have teamed up again to bring you this fantastic Mindful Adventure "Under the Tuscan Sun". Both have traveled extensively and bring their love of doing so to you.
Alison and Joanie share a love of helping others to savor the moment, find a heart-felt joy and travel with humor and grace.
After years of working in both corporate and private event planning, Catherine moved to Italy with her children. They resided in a small village in the Tuscan countryside and her children attended the local school. There, she immersed herself in the food, culture and traditions of her surroundings.
Everybody has a different view on how to travel and what is their ideal or preferred method of doing so. To truly have “seen” a country, one must “experience” it and that means actively being involved in one’s travels, not as a bystander.
“Experiential” tours are those which you are participating in the local culture and traditions, trying new foods, engaging in unique activities of the area, and thus gaining personal insight and knowledge. When you experience something, you create memorable moments.
