The psoas muscle group has been called "the most important muscle you've never heard of." Physically, it forms the muscular bridge between our upper and lower bodies and as such, is the major muscle of standing and walking. Significantly, the psoas is energetically considered to be the body's center of past emotional pain and trauma.
This workshop will weave together active yoga practice, anatomy lesson, energetic theory and restorative postures to help students find the connection between emotional and physical pain, and tap into their innate abilities to heal and let go in a safe, relaxed environment.
This workshop is intended for yoga teachers and students, beginner and experienced, as well as for anyone who experiences chronic pain in movement.
